About Us M4-C is headed by Mitchell A. Cohn, D.O.  Dr. Cohn is a fully licensed Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon in the State of Michigan. For more than 13 years, Dr. Cohn has had a general practice with an emphasis on the care of patients with acute and chronic pain. Credentials may be verified for free through the Michigan Department of Community Health at: http://www.dleg.state.mi.us/free/ Dr. Cohn received his undergraduate degree in biology, after 3 years, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1981. From there he went on to masters-level study of biology at Wayne State University where he also taught Comparative Anatomy. He also mentored minority premedical students in the subject to help prepare them for Wayne State's medical school. In 1982, Dr. Cohn entered the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa (now the Des Moines College of Osteopathic Medicine). He graduated near the top of his class in 1986. While at the University, Dr. Cohn took a special interest in Osteopathic Manipulatiive Medicine (OMM) and the interconnectedness of all parts of the body. As a result, he became a lab trainer for other students in OMM during his second year. He also received special certification in CPR, qualifying him to teach others cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Dr. Cohn also taught a special review course in biochemistry for incoming first-year minority students at the University. After graduation, Dr. Cohn founded Med-Sci Research and Consulting, a medicolegal consulting firm, which he headed for several years. He subsequently returned to medical practice to continue his training in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Michigan State University. Since 1997, Dr. Cohn has been in the private practice of general medicine, focusing on the treatment of chronic pain, sports injuries, TMJ, and all muscular, neurologic, skeletal, and medical ailments amenable to OMM, acupuncture, and alternative therapies.
